FAQ
Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions.
1. To invite Chanstat into your channel:
/Invite Chanstat #Channel
Any person in the channel can invite Chanstat.
2. To see your ‘ChanStats’:
Type: !chanstats or @chanstats
!chanstats will notice you the link to see the channel's stats.
@chanstats will message the channel the link to see the channel's stats.
You will not receive stats for your channel right away.
The bot needs to be in your channel for two hours before a stats page could be made for your channel.
3. To part Chanstat from your channel:
Just simply kick Chanstat.
4. Is Chanstat set in a timezone?:
Yes, the statistics page is set in Eastern Timezone (-5 GMT).
5. How often does Chanstat update?:
Chanstat updates your channel’s statistics once every two hours; starting at midnight and updates your channel’s relationship map every two hours starting at 1 AM.
6. I want a User Profile, what do I do?:
Make a forum account on the ChanStat forums, if you do not already have one. Then fill out the application on the Profiles section. A staff member will then PM you to authenticate your request, and then a profile will be made for you. Only staff members will have access to your account to prevent abuse.
7. Where to go if you experience a problem:
If you experience a problem with the bot, join #ChanStat and contact an Op.
8. The bot just parted my channel, why?
The bot's part message should say why the bot was parted. It could either be because we found you were abusing the bot (mass invites, spam, etc), a staff member parted it, or the channel did not meet the user requirement. If the bot does not rejoin and you're wondering why, join #ChanStat and ask a staff member.
9. I want to donate, what should I do?
First read the donation page, and if you're still interested contact a staff member.
10. How do I get ChanStat on my network?
A network staff member must full out a network application located on the homepage.
